一、看图作文的技巧

1. 用心读图

分析图画中的信息, 通过想象, 确定图画要表达的主题。

仔细看图, 我们可以看出这篇作文的体裁应是议论文。图画只出现了一个人还有一棵树。第一幅图中, 这个人满头大汗, 拿着水壶在给小树苗浇水。第二幅图中, 小树苗已经长大, 遮住了毒辣的阳光, 这个人舒服地躺在树荫下的椅子上休息。

2. 清楚阐述图片内容

根据图中的情景表达文章内容, 发挥自己的实际写作水平, 遇到不会的要点或者句子, 要另辟蹊径, 采用变通的办法, 避难就易, 化繁为简。

二、写好看图作文的注意事项

(1) 避免使用汉语式英语, 尽量使用自己熟悉的句型。我们的学生在多年的语文学习及日常生活中受到潜移默化的熏陶, 必然是习惯于汉语的表达形式及句型进行描述。这对于后续英语的学习影响较大。

(2) 注意用词的准确性。用词得体与否, 直接影响句意的表达。在98年高考作文中, 有一个关键点:警察惩罚他们抓住下一个违章者。“He let us catch an other offender.”这种表达就没有力度, 不如“He made us catch the next offender.”更加准确。make比let更能表达出警察对他们惩罚的强迫性, 表达更形象得体。

(3) 注意冠词用法, 分清“a”和“an”。例如:“He is an honest student.”中的an不能写成a。冠词在高中英语的学习中是非常重要的一个部分。平时学习过程中, 英语教师就应当加强对这方面的训练。不仅在作文中会有应用, 英语单选部分也会有关于冠词区分的题目。

(4) 注意拼写、标点符号和大小写, 例如:fourteen、ninth、restaurant等。很多学生在英语作文中知道该用某个单词, 也能发音读出, 但是实际动手写的时候就不一定写对。英语教师需要将比较特殊的单词多加提问, 讲明白如何便捷记忆。英语句子中逗号通常会在复杂句子成分中出现, 分号的应用是并列情况。特殊词汇如地名、人名需要首字母大写。

一、题型规律与考查要点总结

无论我们参加的是哪种类型的考试，真题都是最重要的参考资料。在分析真题的过程中，我们能总结出题规律并且培养自己的归纳能力，这对日后研究生的学习也很重要。开篇我们已经提到，看图作文是大作文的重点考查对象，这一点我们可以从对1991年~2005年15年期间写作真题的简单回顾中归纳出来：

我们可以从上面的真题回顾中得出下面几点结论：

1、题型：1991到1996年是纯粹的提纲式作文，从1997年的题目“烟草危害”开始，看图作文首次出现在考试中。从1997年到2005年的9年期间，大作文均为看图作文，占总分60％，虽然绝对比重不是很大，但是这些看图作文都是近年来出现的，而且呈现连续出题的态势。因此，从题型的发展趋势来看，下次考试极有可能还是看图作文。

2、从类别的考查上，看图作文可以分为两个大类：图画式作文和图表式作文。（1）图画式作文式是用漫画、照片、图片为载体，考查学生对图画蕴涵的寓意或者思想内涵理解表达能力。在逻辑的考查上，更偏重学生的总结能力；（2）图表式作文是以图表为载体，考查学生对图表中的数据所包含的逻辑关系的挖掘与表达能力。在逻辑的考查上，由于图表是数据的形象化表达，更偏重于学生的数据整理与归纳能力。在看图作文9年考查中，除了1997年的“吸烟问题”和1999年的“美国人口数量对野生动物数量的影响”这两年是考查图表式作文外，其余7年均考查图画式作文。

3、考查内容与夺分重点。考研看图作文的过程分描述图——理解图——讨论图三个层次。出题者的设计意图也向我们昭示了踩分点也是分布在这三个过程中的，那么我们的备考策略就应该完全围绕这三个过程进行，下面我们在本文的第二部分重点探讨这个问题。

二、逐段扫描，动作要点翻译写作法

一般来说，我们很习惯在考试中把文章写成3段式，分别称作开头、中间和结尾段。下面是对三大段落的功能分析总结：

1、首段：描述图画，阐释意义（根据情况可拆成两段）。

（1）在此段中描述图画，写作的顺序是先描述图画，再简单解释图画的意图和内容，句子的数量最多不超过两句。可以采用的方法有做描述(图画)，提现象(小鸡，小鱼等)，说观点(小灯等)三种手法。

我们以1998年的漫画小母鸡作承诺为例子来看看第一段的写法。写作的起点是对图画的汉语要点描述，同学们在练习的时候可以写在草稿纸上。在这幅图中，中心主体是一只母鸡，边缘主体有蛋和草，中心道具是一张写着字的纸：“本母鸡承诺(1)本鸡下蛋不见棱见角(2)保证有蛋皮、蛋清和蛋黄”，那么我们作一个汉语替换：“有一只母鸡站在鸡蛋的前方，手里提着一张纸，上面写着两个承诺：(1)本鸡下蛋都是圆的；(2)保证有蛋皮、蛋清和蛋黄”。请同学们注意，笔者在写这个句子时希望能涵盖三点信息（即三个动作）：1、母鸡的动作；2、纸与母鸡的关系；3、母鸡承诺的具体内容，因此将其中一个设计成谓语动词，其他的动作用状语或者是从句来表达，这样写出来的句子是：In front of a pile of eggs stood a proud hen with a paper, on which was written two promises: first, all the eggs this hen lays are round; second, all eggs surely have the three necessary parts of an ordinary egg. 这里使用了非限制性定语从句和介词短语。笔者一向反对过多依赖模板句型，能自己设计句子是最好的选择，同学们不妨用这个方法练习一下，写出漂亮而又不重复的好句子。下面是历年图画的汉语表达，请读者自己作练习翻译使用：

2000年——两幅漫画有完全不同的情况，第一幅图是1900年，有很多鱼游弋在大海中，其上方只有一艘渔船；相对比的是，1995年有很多渔船航行在大海上，其下面只有一条孤单的鱼。

2001年——有一盏灯照亮了黑暗，它的脸上带着满足的微笑，好像在告诉我们：“爱心是一盏灯，在越黑暗的地方越明亮。”

2002年——照片上有一个美国小姑娘，脸上带着微笑，身着中国民族服饰。

2003年——（完全模仿2000年）两幅漫画有完全不同的情况，第一幅图上有一朵美丽的小花盛开在温室里面（注意温室可以引申为保护），外面的狂风暴雨丝毫不能影响它；相对比的是，离开了温室的保护，小花迅速凋谢在了暴雨之下。

2004年——有一个男孩正要冲过终点，在他的脚下同时又写着起点。

2005年——有四个人守在“足球门”前，老父亲在场中被踢来踢去。

（2）提出现象。首先，现象的共性是都发生在一定的环境下，设计句子的时候要先设计一个环境为状语：1998年（市场经济生活中），2000年（对大自然的资源索取中），2002年（全球一体化中），2003年（父母对孩子的教育中），2005年（家庭生活中）。其次我们设计现象的动作，1998年（作承诺），2000年（毁坏资源），2002年（交流加大），2003年（溺爱过分），2005年（不孝敬父母）。大架构出来了，读者可以自己来写句子了。笔者继续1998年的作文：Motivated by the desire for money, people from all walks of life in market-oriented economy have been making various promises.

(3)提出观点。这部分同学们不用太担心，观点一般会在图画中传达出来，在这里笔者就不举例说明了。

2、主体：举例，发表看法和议论。

摆事实讲道理。笔者在这里介绍三种常用的手法：现象解释（原因分析）、观点对比（利弊分析）、举例论证。

（1） 分析问题

写作时我们要解决两个问题：写什么和怎么写。在教学中笔者发现，同学们在写作中遇到的最大障碍不是不知道怎么写，而是不知道写什么。笔者在这里介绍两种分析问题的思维方式：系统法和宏(微)观法。

系统法的原则是每个问题都是发生在某个系统中的，比如1998年小鸡是在供求关系中，2003年小花是在家庭关系中。如果能够在分析问题的时候找到问题发生的系统，我们就可以在构思的时候设计找到两个分析的理由：1998年是供方和需求方、2005年是父母与子女两方。而第三个理由，我们可以在系统外部找到，1998年是市场的管理和监管，2003年是社会的观念影响。下面我们来看看具体的构思过程。

1998年的题目中，在市场经济的系统中，主体是商家和消费者两方。因此笔者在这里设计了两个分析理由：1、“商家为了在竞争中吸引消费者获利，不计代价作承诺，甚至是虚假承诺”；2、“由于市场中的信息不对称和不平衡，消费者在某些时候只能通过商家所作的承诺进行消费的选择与决策”。两个理由成立了，让我们来设计第三个理由，也就是上面我们提到的在系统外部的管理部门身上寻找理由；3、“由于我们的市场经济是转轨经济，市场的管理者在很多地方都有监管不善和不全面的问题，这也是造成市场上大量出现虚假承诺的重要原因”。我们现在要做的，就要在这三个理由的基础上梳理出中间段落的英语句子。请读者看下面的三个句子，这是成都新东方考研班学生的习作：

读者可以参照此做法自行练习寻找另外几篇问题解决型文章的分析理由。

（2） 举例论证

在1991年到2005年15年考试中，考到了需要使用举例论证的只有两年：2001年的“爱心是一盏灯，在越黑暗的地方就越明亮。”和2004年的“终点也是起点”。我们可以发现这两年考的都是观点型，在对观点的正确性作论证的时候，举例论证是一种常见的论证方法。

读者可能会认为举例是一种最简单的论证方式。我们从小学开始就在学习写记叙文，用各种各样具体的例子来学习写作，因此笔者在学生的习作中发现大量“我的父亲的一件事”、“我的邻居的奋斗历史”等等。这种对身边小事件的描述在论证上是比较乏力的，笔者将这种例子归纳为“具体型”例证。而笔者则推崇“抽象型”论证。下面我们用2001年爱心的具体例子来看看。在新东方考研的写作教材上，该年度给出了两篇范文，一篇使用了具体例子，另一篇采用了抽象的论证，抽象论证的文章得分比具体例子多出了4分，这种得分差距是非常惊人的。

这篇文章的观点是“爱心是人类的共同情感和财富，爱心能帮助人们度过困难”，下面的论述就要围绕这个观点展开。如果是具体例子，我可以说“我的一个朋友，叫李明，他自小就贫穷失学，是希望工程让他完成了学业，现在他和我一起在考研”，这就是很典型的具体例子。但是用抽象的论证来整理一下就完全不一样了：In some rural areas of China, a great many poor children who dropped out of school due to poverty would finish their education with the support from our society and every compassionate individual.（在中国的许多农村地区，很多儿童因贫困失学，如果社会和公众能献出一点爱心，他们就可以完成学业。）读者应该能看出，两种论证孰优孰劣。我们还可以从反面进行论述：Without love, these children would lose the opportunity for an education forever and their lives would be totally different.（如果我们都不献出爱心，这些孩子就将永远失去受教育的机会，他们的人生也就此完全改变了。）

（3） 观点对比。建议同学们参照观点发展的举例，对比无非就是几个举例论证观点的罗列，这里就不给出具体的例子了。

3、结尾：给出解决方案

改部分可以使用解决问题、观点总结两种手法。笔者认为不需要为该部分作过多的准备，自然结尾是最好的。
