Unfortunately when sitting in the exam in June， ， I was so nervous that I didn’t score well in the CEE exam. I enrolled in the department of Computer Science in Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Any attempt to persuade myself to focus on my major turned out to be a failure at the beginning of my college life. After several terms， I realized that I would never be interested in being a programmer or an engineer. At that moment， I lost my direction and objectives.

My persistence in reading saved me from the dark situation. As a matter of fact， I enjoyed reading the books included Encyclopedia American， and some books about management by Peter F.Drucker. I began to notice something interesting： Why some companies can produce more than others? Why some company can sell more than others? Why some companies can build up but others cannot when facing the same difficulties?

With the questions in my mind， I started to read many relevant books. I was lucky to read the book “Jack： Straight from the Gut”by Jack Welch， in Which John A. Byrne makes a clear illustration that the management is important for a company. When I was a junior， I ran a bookshop by myself near my school. I should manage not only the finance in the shop but also the employees in my shop even made some strategies to enlarge the business in my shop to hold on the run the shop. From this， my interpersonal skills and the capacity in business has been greatly developed， definitely I was increasingly interested in what I was doing. By December， ， I had finally determined to take business management as my career instead of IT. To accumulate more relevant knowledge， I strived to gain more practical work experience in some big companies.

Fortunately， as a senior， I began by conducting an internship in the Architecture Company in Zhejiang Province. Over six months， I worked as an assistant of the manager to harmonize the relationship between the different departments in this company and to draft some management system， which broadened my perspective of management conditions and business performance in different industries. The experience showed me that management is much more important than that of I thought in big companies. After graduation， I continued my work in this company. Step One：

到达指定的国内起飞机场 到相应的航空公司服务窗口办理行李托运并领取机票

按顺序进行相关的安检

安检时请保管好自己的随身物品，不要遗漏在机场。

在香港候机厅等候两小时左右的转机时间（大家可以选择停留在原地或者在近处买杯Coffee之类的，尽可能不要走远以免错过登机时间）之后开始登机。

在飞机上度过漫长的十三小时

飞机有相应的导航系统显示飞机的飞行路线，高度等信息。其次这个视频窗口还提供音乐电影等服务，大家在飞机上无聊时还是可以解解闷的。

(一) 文化差异

一部电影及其片名总是浸润在该民族的文学、历史、哲学、宗教、传统、习俗、传说等形成的文化体系中, 加之所属文化圈的隔膜和对他者文化的抵抗, 其内涵往往不为另一文化体系中的人们所知晓而成为语际转换过程中的“超语言因素”, 并且直接造成双方理解与交际的障碍。文化背景知识对语言理解的影响十分显见, 片名翻译所面临的困难亦在此。有些语言符号不仅有其直接的指称, 更有其丰富的文化与意识形态内涵。

(二) 盲目套用商业性语言符号

当前业界对影片翻译似乎有那么一种“宽容”:电影片名不同于一般的书名翻译, 它是一种因实际的市场需要而进行的有意识改写, 因而不必严格依照原片本意进行翻译;片名翻译就是要以迎合当代受众的探奇心态为基准而不屈不挠地遵循商业法则, 最终达到高票房的目的。Toy Story在香港上映时被译为“玩具总动员”, 霎时间, 两岸三地就陆陆续续出现了“怪兽总动员” (Monster) 、“超人总动员” (The Incredible) “海底总动员” (Finding Nemo) 。假若这些片名只是非文字的民间流传以起到广告之效果则无可厚非, 但是, 一旦以正规文字呈现于影片里就会给大众种种误导:翻译就是套用语汇;翻译就是改写。

二、片名翻译所应遵循的原则

就影视片名的翻译, 包惠南认为“既要符合语言规范, 又要富有艺术魅力, 既要忠实于原片名的内容, 又要体现原名的语言特色, 力求达到艺术的再创造”, 要讲求“大众化、通俗化、口语化和艺术性”, “要能起到很好的导视和促销作用”细化而言之, 笔者认为作为一个优秀的译者、一个有责任心的译者, 翻译电影片名时应当遵循以下原则。

(一) 忠实性原则

忠实性是所有翻译中最基本的指导原则, 是指译者使用一种目标语言表达源文本语言时应保持与原文的对等。忠实性内涵包含以下两个方面:一是形式上的忠实;即从形式上考虑, 为了使再现信息与原信息的形式相似而力求做到词词对应, 结构、比喻与原作相似。其二是意义上的忠实;它要求译文的思想内容与原文一致, 在意义上没有增删更改现象我们可以通过直译、意译和音译三种方法体现片名的忠实性。根据源语、目标语的特点最大限度地保留原片名的内容和形式就是直译。当源语与目标语在功能上达到重合时, 这是最为简易而行之有效的方法。以下这些译名就是通过直译很好地保留了源语的语言顺序和文化信息:

(二) 娱乐性原则

泰特勒在《翻译原理理论简论》中提出“好的翻译是把原作的优点完全移注到另一种语言中去, 使得译文语言所属国家的人们能够清醒地领悟, 强烈地感受, 正像使用原作语言的人们所领悟、所感受的一样。”电影既是一门艺术, 同时又带有浓厚的商业性。电影片名所起的导视作用当然不可小觑。

(三) 艺术性原则

电影是一门声、光结合的艺术, 排位于音乐、舞蹈、雕塑、建筑等艺术之后而被誉为“第七艺术”。无独有偶, 奈达 (Nida) 曾说:翻译是一种技能, 但归根到底, 完全令人满意的翻译是一种艺术。影片译名在忠实于原电影的基础上, 应讲求翻译的艺术性。翻译中有时会出现直译、意译都难以恰如其分地体现原片内容, 激发观众审美愉悦的情况。此时就需要抛开原片名的形式和内容, 以原片内容为基础, 根据故事情节重新确立题目。如The Wizard of Oz《绿野仙踪》, Oz意为虚幻的、不可思议的奇异仙境。片名来自清朝李百川的长篇小说《绿野仙踪》, 此书以写神仙异迹为主要线索, 以此命名十分贴切传神, 并且贴近本土观众, 从而不但具有独特的艺术魅力, 而且收到了良好的商业效益。电影片名的翻译基于文本翻译, 又有别于普通文本翻译的特殊功能要求, 只有遵循信息、审美、文化、商业四条价值原则, 在对原片有深入的理解和分析的基础上, 根据各自的思想内容和文体风格, 运用必要的技巧灵活采用各种相应的方法甚至必要的创意, 才能翻译出既忠实于原片内容, 又富于强烈的吸引力和感染力的佳作。

三、片名翻译的方法

电影片名不同于一般的书名翻译, 片名言简意赅, 但信息量大, 总摄全片内容。它是一种因实际需要而故意加进原本没有意义的一种传达方法, 有别于文学翻译那种严格依照作者本意, 力求神似的方法。它们多以名词、短语、简单句出现, 其中以短语居多。这就要求有很高的汉译技巧, 针对电影片名的以上特点, 我们在翻译片名时, 一般应采用如下四种方法

(一) 意译法

电影片名与一般的书名翻译不同, 动画片翻译其实是一种广告翻译, 在某些情况下, 如果刻意追求“信、达、雅”的标准, 把片名直译过来, 可能会失去原片名的本来意义, 甚至可能产生一些错误的联想, 因此意译法就是根据实际需要对片名进行创造性加工, 将它译成能反映原片特点的译名一种传达方法。例如Amano Tarot Card《天野喜孝塔罗牌》比如这部片名直译的话无法吸引观众的眼球的, 意译了那效果就不一样了。其中的每一个字都可以引发无尽的联想, 给观众留下了极大的想象空间。这样威功的例子还很多, 如:Cipher《双星记》Dark Angel《圣兽传承》Gall Force《银河女战士》Amunesia《随风而逝的记忆》等等。

(二) 直译

直译, 这是最常见的译法。就是在译文语言条件许可时在不违背电影情节、内容及不致引起错误联想的前提下, 在译文中既保持原文的内容, 又保持原文的形式这是最简单而行之有效的翻译方法, 这也是我国传统译界认可的最佳译法。如:Snow White and Seven Dwarfs《白雪公主与七个小矮人》Lion king《狮子王》Star Wars《星球大战》Water World《水世界》CityHunter《城市猎人》等等。

(三) 音译

在翻译片名的时候, 外来人名、英语专有名词、地点、历史事件、以及汉语中无法对应的词汇, 一般以此种方式来翻译。尤其是历史上著名的人物或者事件, 若已经为中国观众所熟识, 就更该采取音译。如:Yoma《妖魔》Babel2《巴比伦二世》Basara《婆娑罗》等等。

(四) 直译意译结合

直译意译结合由于能最大程度上既忠实于原文, 又吸引观众, 是在英语片名翻译中经常被采用的一种方法。直译意译结合指的是保留原名的一些成分, 又加上了一些内容概括。“忠实”被视为首要原则, 在“忠实平淡”的译名和“雅俗共赏”的“乱译”之间, 前者是惟一的正确选择。适当贴切的直译意译结合, 是非常值得称道的翻译方法。例如:Angel Cop《天使女战警》Demon Hunter Yohko《魔界妖子》Appleseed《苹果核战》等等。

四、结语

总而言之, 翻译是从一种符号转换到另一种语言符号的再创造活动。翻译的实质, 是双语间意义的对应转换。不可否认, 当前片名在这意义转换的过程中, 存在良莠不分的现象, 但因各个译者自身水平、经验、审美观点不同, 译名质量自有高低之分。但笔者认为, 为充分发挥译者的创造性, 可允许多种译名同时存在。并要努力从众多的国外影片片名翻译实践中探寻出规律性的东西, 吐故纳新, 扬长避短, 应用于新的英文画片片名翻译, 从而使英文动画片片名的翻译更加出色。

摘要：英文动画片的片名影片的第一形象和识别标志, 对影片的成功起着推波助澜的作用, 因此, 弄清楚英文动画片片名的基本特点, 恰当的汉译就显得尤为重要。而中西方动画片片名各自有其独特的文化内涵, 其两种文化存在着一定的差异, 为了最大化的实现影片的艺术价值和商业效益, 片名翻译的工作显得尤其重要, 必须采用合适的翻译方法和遵循相关的翻译原则。当前我国英文动画片翻译较为混乱。在翻译过程中, 动画片的源文化——西方文化决定了西片的翻译;中国文化——引进西片的目标文化是西片翻译成功的关键。只有两种文化实现创造性融合才能产出既忠于原文又具有艺术性和商业性的成功翻译。
