This table illustrates clearly the discrepancy between the soaring medical expenses and the unsatisfactory hospital facilities. To improve the present situation we have a long way to go. 教学方法的改革的关键在于方法的内化,即学生内化方法并能在教学方法的外因下,进行知识、信息的内化。内化是需要语料和文本的输入和存储的。因此就算学生掌握了各种写作方法、策略、结构等知识,但是如果没有足量的语篇文字输入,即只有技巧,没有语料,学生英语写作还是会出现“巧妇难为无米之炊”的局面。因此,在英语写作教学中,教师不仅要“授之以渔”,还要“授之以鱼”。而语篇背诵输入就是英语学习者捕鱼的过程。

本文以克拉申的语言输入理论、建构主义理论为基础,通过国内外大量实践研究成果和经验总结基础上,探讨语篇背诵输入对英语写作的促进作用。

1 理论和实践依据

语言学家Krashen【3】的输入假说(Input Hypothesis)为语篇背诵输入提供了理论基础,认为在大量的(sufficient quantity)、可理解的(comprehensibility)、密切相关的(interesting and relevant)语料输入下,兼顾语料内容的文化导向(cultural-bearing)和时代特色(up-to-date)帮助学生获得自然语料,进行语言输出。同时,建构主义在语篇输入帮助学生提高写作水平方面提供了理论基础,这是因为学生写作信息的输入和提取不是简单地从外到内的单向输入,而是通过新信息与学习者原有的知识经验双向的互动作用而实现的,学生不是被动地吸收信息,而是主动地建构信息。学生在学习过程中,通过环境、教师和同伴的帮助,利用必要的学习材料,实现意义建构。最后,Odlin(1989)【4】将语言迁移定义为目标语和其他任何已经习得的(或没有完全习得的)语言之间的共性和差异所造成的影响。其中,起积极影响的为正迁移,消极影响的为负迁移。写作是以思考为前提的脑力活动,思考的过程受语言和文化等各种因素的影响。学生在写作过程中,由于语篇输入不足,在列提纲,组织材料,以及利用材料行文措辞的写作过程中,母语负迁移(词汇负迁移、语法负迁移、语境负迁移、书写习惯负迁移)成为学生文章产生大量不规范的语言表达的重要原因。

许多学贯东西的语言大师和成功的英语学习者总结提高英语写作能力途径的经验时,强调语篇、美文背诵所起到的关键性作用。赵世凯(2002)【5】则明确指出“背书对我来说太有用了。它比背单个词儿要有用,因为成句成篇的背,就能更好地掌握词义和语法,甚至修辞。文章写作就自然表达。”这也是“读书破万卷,下笔如有神”、“旧书不厌百回读,熟读深思子自知”有力印证。国内多名学者对语篇背诵输入实效性进行了实践、比较研究。廉玲玲(2009)【6】对学生进行三个月语篇背诵训练,然后进行书面表达(词汇,短语,表达)检测,并比较实验前后语料数据,结果表明经过语篇背诵进行写作训练后,学生的写作水平(语法、结构、篇章内容等)大为提高。

2 英语语篇背诵能力途径的培养

英语语篇背诵可以增加英语语言隐性知识的积累,促进英语表达预感的形成,在此过程中弱化母语的负迁移,提升学习者的学习自信,减少焦虑,提高写作课堂教学的效果,因此教师在应用语篇背诵教法,布置教学任务时,应注意以下几点。

1)语篇理解是教师布置背诵记忆任务的前提。心理学将背诵分为机械背诵和意义背诵两种。机械背诵主要是靠机械重复而进行的背诵,而意义背诵是学习者运用已有的知识经验,积极地进行建构,弄清材料的意义及其内在联系,从而将其记住。因此,教师在布置背诵任务时,帮助和指导学生理清文章的内容线索,包括上下文之间的逻辑上关系,作者的写作背景、语言知识、文化内涵和篇章结构等,然后要求学生进行记忆,这样避免学生陷入小和尚念经—有口无心的机械记忆的泥淖中去,事倍功半。

2)注意背诵材料的质与量。最佳输入的材料应该在保证趣味性和保持鲜明时代特色的基础上,尽可能涉及各类型的文章。教师对选取达到质量要求的美文,进行有目的、系统性、强调个体学习需求的指导,保证因材施教的质量,而不是一鞭子赶,突出不了差异性原则。

3)注意语音技巧,调动各个感官。张志公先生说:“一篇文章,读出声音来,读出抑扬顿挫来,读出语调神情来,比单用眼睛看,所得的印象要深刻得多”,在此过程中学生需要精神高度集中,大大提高记忆效果。学期期间,教师可以组织英语语篇背诵竞赛,并让学生进行诵读学习反思,进行经验、感受交流,强调语篇背诵的作用。

4)以点带面,融会贯通,语篇背诵盘活写作能力。教师组织篇章背诵活动,要保证语料是鲜活,并且有应用价值的,背诵的美文要及时的应用到篇章中去。在写作篇章内,要求学生积极应用美文,并进行标注,不仅标注句子、段落,积极词汇等,更注意衔接手段等应用。甚至进行美文的仿写训练。这样,学生可以盘活诵读、记忆知识,学以致用。

5)多样化的检查、反馈方式。在检查反馈阶段,教师可以将美文篇章背诵作为评价的一部分,培养学生的学习习惯,提高输入质量。教师可以采用流水式、默写式、小组互查式检查方式,保证学生完成输入任务,形成自主、自觉的有效输入习惯。教师注意要进行及时反馈和褒扬,提高学生的积极性。

一、 树立理解背诵的观念

随着年龄的增长，同学们的理解能力逐渐增强，简单机械的背诵不但费时费力，而且容易产生厌倦的情绪，因而学习效率很低，这就要求大家不要死记硬背，而要在理解的基础上进行背诵，以提高背诵速度，增强学习效果。

二、 扫除语音障碍

单词读不准或不会读是背诵的一大障碍。一篇课文中如果有太多生疏的单词，就会影响同学们背诵的信心。为此，我们可以通过听录音或听教师的示范朗读来帮助自己找出这样的单词，纠正发音。同时，还要注意句子的语调、不完全爆破、重弱读等语音现象，增强诵读节奏，提高背诵的效果。

三、 抓关键词语
