论文题目：《壮族民俗风情》（第四章至第五章）英译实践报告

摘要：中国文化博大精深,源远流长。在改革开放的时代背景之下,中国文化不仅要“走出去”更希望“变强大”。于是,中国文化外译应运而生。中国文化外译不仅仅是传播传统文化精华更应包括那些弱势文化,中国少数民族文化便是其中一员。作为西南地区人口最多的少数民族,壮族拥有信仰崇拜、悠远民歌、精湛手工艺等多姿多彩的文化,然而人们对于壮族文化的知晓和了解却非常贫乏。少数民族文化英译作为中国文化外译的一个重要部分代表着中国的国家形象,因此我们很有必要对少数民族文化英译开展研究,为中国“文化大国”和“文化强国”的建设添砖加瓦。本篇翻译实践报告的原材料选自黄伟晶和黄桂秋2012年编著的《壮族民俗风情》一书。笔者选取了第四章“缤纷的岁时节庆”和第五章“深情的婚曲恋歌”的内容进行英译。两章内容向读者介绍了壮族独特的节日与婚恋习俗,文化词汇丰富且内涵深刻。笔者选用黄忠廉教授提出的变译理论为指导,根据文本语境从增、减、编、述、缩、并、改七大变通手段中选取合适手段对原文进行灵活处理,以求实现英译文中精华文化信息的传递,提高译文的可读性。本报告分为五个章节。第一章为引言部分,介绍了本研究的目的和意义,原书内容以及报告的整体布局。第二章为译前准备,主要对原文文本特征进行分析,介绍了平行文本和翻译工具的使用以及小组翻译分工情况。第三章回顾了中国少数民族和壮族英译研究现状并阐述了变译理论体系。第四章为案例分析,主要展现了变通手段的具体操作和有效使用。第五章对本次英译实践进行了总结,讨论了笔者的发现和存在的不足。
