小说写于1921年1月,后有作者编入他的小说集《呐喊》,它的故事情节和主要人物,大多取材于真正的现实生活。1919年12月初,鲁迅从北京回故乡绍兴接母亲,亲眼看到故乡的破旧不堪和农民生活的贫困,百感交集,思绪万千,一年后就以这次经历为素材,创作了小说《故乡》。小说着重刻画了一个受尽当时社会摧残剥削的劳苦农民闰土的形象。通过对闰土悲惨遭遇的描述,生动地反映了当时的社会面貌,深刻揭露旧社会对农民从肉体到精神的重重残害,表达了作者改造旧社会、创造新生活的强烈愿望和坚定信念。

2.讲读第三段,离开故乡:

这一段主要写“我”离别故乡时的怅惘情绪和对未来的希望。

(学生读第78-85自然段)(1)“我”这次是“永别了熟识的老屋,而且远离了熟识的故乡”,到异地去谋生。离开时“我”的心情是怎样的?有没有依依不舍的情感?

明确:“我”只感到“有些惘然”,“却并不感到怎样的留恋”。而且一想到在故乡所遇到的人和事,“我只觉得我四面有看不见的高墙,将我隔成孤身,使我非常气闷”;这“高墙”就是社会造成的精神上的“厚障壁”,就是人与人之间的隔膜。再想起闰土今昔的巨变,“又使我非常的悲哀”。由于有感于这复杂的世事变化,因而“我”对未来想得很多。
