1. AFor these children to develop to their full adult potential在句中做目的状语,these children 是to develop 的逻辑主语,这种主谓关系在目的状语中一般是不能用分词表示的。B中不定式被动式与句意相悖;for不是连词,故不能选D,否则语句不通。

5. C这是一个so…that结构表示结果状语的句型, A、D 可以排除。在that从句中又有条件从句,而且应该是虚拟语气结构,B中没有表示条件的连词,是错误的。C虽然也没有连词if,但采用了倒装结构,可以将if省略,又是had done,表示与过去事实相反的假设,时态、结构完全正确,因此是惟一正确的选择。

篇3:初中英语语法测试题

我国高等职业教育的教学目标是“以就业为目的、以市场为导向”,培养高级应用性技术型人才。高职英语教学应贯彻“实用为主 ,够用为度“的方针 ,既要培养学生具备必要的英语语言基础知识, 更要强调培养学生运用英语进行有关日常和涉外业务工作的交际能力[1]。

高等学校英语应用能力考试(简称为PRETCO)就是为检测高职高专是否达到所规定的教学要求而设置的考试。考试于1998年和1999年试行,2000年正式推广。高等学校英语应用能力考试以2000年教育部颁布的《高职高专教育英语课程教学基本要求》[2]为依据,既测试语言知识,又着重测试语言技能,既测试一般性语言内容,又测试与涉外业务有关的内容,并侧重后者,实用性内容约占60%。考虑到我国高职高专学生英语入学水平的现状,《高职高专教育英语课程教学基本要求》将教学要求分为A级要求和B级要求,A级为标准级,B级为过渡级。考试方式为笔试和口试,分别进行,笔试自2000年起实施,口试于2005年试点进行。笔试按百分制计分,满分为100分,60分及60分以上为及格;85分及85分以上为优秀, 考试成绩合格者发给“高等学校英语应用能力考试”相应级别的合格证书。本科生英语考量标准是大学英语四级,高等学校英语应用能力考试作为专科生的英语考量标准,也被称为英语三级。

笔者曾在256名在校生、143名毕业生中进行问卷调查[3]。毕业生中对于是否通过三级考试持完全不在意态度的学生仅占9.79%,在校生的这一比例更低,仅2.34%。46.15%的毕业生表示通过 三四级考 试对于英 语学习有 所帮助 , 在校生中71.48%的学生持相同观点。这些数据都表明高等学校英语应用能力考试是权威性高、导向性强的考试。

目前大部分高职院校学生都参加高等学校英语应用能力考试A级笔试。笔试分为五个部分:听力理解、语法结构、阅读理解、翻译和写作。高等学校英语应用能力考试自2014年起,笔试试题改革调整,调整情况如下:

由上表可知如下几点变化:第一,加大听力部分的题量与分值。第二,减少语法部分的题量,但分值维持不变。第三,英译汉部分,题量不变,总体分值下降。客观题难度下降,主观题分值下降。

二、关于语法教学的误解

因为高等学校英语应用能力考试自设计之初就强调侧重考查学生运用英语进行日常和涉外业务工作的交际能力;再加之2014年考题的改革调整,加大听力部分的分值,降低语法部分的分值,所以目前对于高职英语教学该不该讲语法存在一种错误理解。一些学生和教师认为讲语法已经过时了。在日常和涉外业务工作中听不懂英语,开口讲不了英语,语法讲得再多又有什么用? 我们应该“谈化”语法,甚至“放弃”语法。

那么目前我们“谈化”或“放弃”语法是否可取呢? 首先,我们看看学生的自评情况。在受访的256名在校生中,有90名学生表示自己英语最差的是语法,占35.16%,比例最高;选择“一切都稀烂”的学生有82人,占32.03%;有51名学生表示自己词汇最差,占19.92%;让人出乎意料的是,只有33名学生表示自己听说最差,仅占12.89%。由以上数据,我们不难看出,对于语法采取完全放弃的态度是不太可取的。其次,我们分析学生的高考情况。目前高职学生英语基础普通不甚理想, 在受访的256名在校生中,高考英语成绩及格的有42人 ,仅占16.41%;50分以下的学生66人,占25.78%;高考英语成绩50~90分的有148人,占57.81%。学生高考成绩不及格表明大部分学生不具备必要的英语语言基础知识。再次,高职英语教学要求贯彻“实用为主,够用为度”的方针。但是目前学生“够用的知识”还远远不够,没有应有的语法知识,写作提笔就是错句,英译汉时根本无法分析句子结构,阅读遇到长难句也理解不了,谈何“实用为主”? 由以上分析可知,目前“谈化”或“放弃”语法是不可取的。对于高职学生而言,否定或推翻语法教学好比一个本身营养不良的人还天天喊着要减肥一样, 如此发展下去只会越来越不健康。但是如果过多强调语法,“大补特补”,那么一来学生消化吸收不了,二来可能会让学生吃成一个大胖子,走得累、跑不快。高职英语语法教学最重要的是把握好“度”,“度”从哪里来? 历年高等学校英语应用能力考试就是我们最好的“风向标”。

三、历年真题分析

英语语法是一个信息量庞大的知识体系, 高职学生必须掌握的英语语法有哪些呢? 笔者分析了2002年6月至2014年6月近12年的25套高等学校英语应用能力考试真题, 每套真题语法部分有20小题,10题选择题,10题填空题。25套真题总计500个语法题。考查内容和考查频率见下表:

由上表可知,500个语法题主要考核了如下几个方面的语法知识:非谓语动词、时态语态、定语从句、虚拟语气、强调句、倒装句、比较级最高级、同位语从句、介词、连词、代词、固定词组、词形转换、名词性从句、主谓一致等。考查频率由高到低排序为:非谓语动词、时态语态、词形转换、虚拟语气、固定词组、连词、比较级最高级、定语从句、介词、倒装句、其他、同位语从句、强调句。

具体来看,非谓语动词包括动词不定式、动名词、分词三个方面的知识,考查最多,主要考查:非谓语动词充当句子主句、定语;动名词作宾语;分词作定语,现在分词表主动、动去分词表被动;加have是为强调非谓语动词先发生等。时态涉及的面较大,但主要查考现在完成时、过去完成时、将来完成时等几种时态,且试题有一定的规律,比如:句中会出现since或by等明显的标志词 , 有时还会将时态和语态放在一起进行考查。词形转换主要涉及一些常用的高 频词 , 如 :thoughtful,surprising, obviously, organization, application, management,director, disappointment, independence, additional,successful,harmful, payment。常考的后缀涉及 :-tion, -ment, -ful, -ly, al,-er,-or,ence等。虚拟语气主要考查虚拟条件句和be型虚拟语气。考查形容词或副词的比较级最高级时,句中会有明显的标志词,如:than或more。定语从句主要考查关系代词、关系副词的用法。倒装句主要考查so, only或否定词置于句首的部分倒装句。介词主要考查固定词组里的介词搭配,如:in detail,in need of,under control。

四、语法教学定位

结合学生的学情及对近12年来25套真题的分析, 笔者认为高职英语语法教学应该定位如下:

首先,语法要讲,把握好度。鉴于高职学生语法知识比较薄弱, 高职英语教学要注重培养学生具备必要的英语语言基础知识,全盘推翻英语语法教学是不可取的。语法要讲,但一定要把握好度。

其次,多讲常用,少讲生僻。由历年试卷分析可知,常用的语法知识主要涉及非谓语动词、时态语态、虚拟语气、固定词组、连词、比较级最高级、定语从句、介词、倒装句、同位语从句及强调句。对于这些常用知识,一定要讲通讲透,其他生僻语法知识可略讲或不讲。

再次,多讲规律,加强练习。笔者曾要求大一学生随堂独立完成10题三级考试真题, 这10题真题所涉及的考点已经前期在课堂中讲过。在84名学生中, 有26名学生的正确率还在60%以下 ,说明学生对于相关语法知识印象不够深刻 ,找不到解题规律,还需要加强练习。

最后,培养意识,提高能力。一些学生做客观题时连蒙带猜,做主观题时更是跟着感觉走,行文造句时完全将所学语法知识抛到一边,这说明学生对于知识的消化及内化还远远不够。在日常授课中, 要培养学生在英语的世界里“按章办事”、“遵纪守法”, 将枯燥的语法知识奇妙地转化为英语的应用能力。

摘要:目前淡化及放弃语法教学的呼声越来越高,作者结合学生实际情况分析PRETCO近十二年的25套真题,得出高职英语语法教学的适当定位:语法要讲,把握好度;多讲常用,少讲生僻;多讲规律,加强练习;培养意识,提高能力。

随着教育改革的不断推进与发展,各种教学理念也应运而生。在强调德智体美全面发展的当前社会,英语更是受到了广泛的关注,而一直以来都被忽略的语法教学,也随着教育改革的不断深入渐渐地被提上日程,越来越多的初中英语教师也开始重视起英语语法的教学,然而,在教学过程中却仍然存在着较大的问题。

一、初中英语语法学习的重要性

英语作为基础教育阶段的课程之一,其最重要的任务就是使学生掌握听、说、读、写的技能,而英语语法作为英语学习中最重要的组成部分,对其进行教学是必不可少的。首先,语法是英语学习过程中语言运用的法则,人们在学习一种语言时,必须要遵守语言运用的规则,只有争取的掌握规则,才能更好、更快的学习英语;其次,语法能力是语言能力的重要组成部分。许多教师在教学过程中强调学生语言交际能力的运用,但是却忽视了语法的教学,其实语言能力是由语言知识和语言技能组成的,而在语言知识的学习中,语法恰恰是它最重要的一个环节;再次,语法并不是语言学习的目的,而是学习的途径。语法作为英语学习中重要的组成部分,并不是孤立存在的,因此在学习的过程中应该做到与听、说、读、写等技能充分的结合,从而实现语法在语言交际中的成功应用;最后,语法是语言结构的规律。语法能力的掌握对于学生提高英语的书面运用能力、口语能力具有重要的作用,而在阅读的过程中,学生如果可以掌握语法,往往也可以更好更快的了解文章的语意和内容。因此英语语法的学习在学生学习英语的过程中是具有重要的意义和作用的。

二、初中英语语法教学可遵循的教学方法

(一)语法的情景化教学

语法的情景化教学是指教师在教学的过程中采用情景化模拟的手段对特定的情景进行设计,然后在具体的情境中对学生的语言表达能力进行具体的练习。情景模拟作为一种新的教学方法和教学手段,不仅可以对语言进行描述,同时还可以通过图表、录像带、以及动作的模仿等方式实现语法教学的情景化模拟。例如:教师在进行过去进行时的课堂教学中,可提前录制一段关于本班学生课下活动或体育课堂的MV,在进行教学的过程中播放此录像,这样就可以通过具体的情境让学生明白国企进行时的具体应用。例如:

学生甲:What was Kelsey doing at 6:40 last Tuesday?

学生乙:She was playing basketball on the playground.

学生甲:Was Dave playing basketball with Kelsey?

学生乙:No,he was playing football.

通过这样一问一答的句式,不仅可以将过去进行时的情景进行生动直观的表现,同时还可以激发学生的积极性以及学习英语的兴趣,使每一位学生都可以参与到课堂教学中来,并且情节模拟教学法的运用还可以加深学生的印象。教师在教学活动结束后,还可以通过生活实际中的具体事件入手引导写生以小组问答的形式进行自主练习,互相询问。

(二)语法的活动化教学

语法的活动化教学是指教师在进行英语语法的教学过程中,通过组织丰富多彩的活动,使学生在娱乐的过程中,对所学习的语法进行掌握和运用,以达到在运用中学习、在学习中运用的一种教学方法。例如,在英语的一般将来时的授课过程中,讲师可以先将学生进行分组,然后让他们对将要进行的周末露营活动进行讨论,并使用将来进行时的句式进行交流。例如:

学生甲:Where are we going to have a picnic?

学生乙:We are going to have it in Beihai Park.

学生丙:When and where shall we meet?

学生乙:Shall we meet at the school gate?

学生丁:I’m going to take some fruits and watch.

当学生热烈的讨论过后,教师可以布置任务,让各小组的学生使用将来进行时的句式制定一份小组内部的周末露营计划,并且在全班同学面前进行汇报。通过这样的活动化学习,学生再掌握了将来时的用法、丰富了课余生活的同时,还也建立了师生之间平等和谐的关系。

(三)语法的团队性教学

首先,课堂的气氛对于学生的学习可以产生重要的影响。因此,教师在进行课堂教学前,可以先活跃一下课堂的气氛,这样不但可以舒缓学生紧张的情绪、同时还可以提高学生的注意力。例如可以在教学活动正式开始前,先穿插一段英文歌曲;其次,教师还可以依据以往的教学经验对那些在教学过程中学生比较难以记忆的语法内容,寻求简单的记忆方法;最后教师还可以在课堂活动中安排一些英语竞猜小游戏等等,在提高学生积极性的同时还可以帮组学生对已学的知识进行巩固提升。

然后,教师可以按照学生的水平对其进行分组,并且根据小组内成员不同的英语基础以及学习能力对其进行安排和布置任务,使学生通过集体的努力,完成老师所布置的任务。这样不仅提高了学生的团队精神同时也提高了学生人际交往的能力。

总结:综上所述,在初中英语的学习中,教师不仅要改变传统的教学方式方法,同时也要改变传统的教学观念。英语的语法教学在英语的学习中占据着重要的地位,同时也发挥着不可替代的作用,因此,教师在加强对学生英语语法教学的重视和关注的同时,也要针对英语语法的教中学不断地革新教学方法,以寻求适合学生学习的方式方法。
