我担任初三一、二两班的英语教学。这两班的成绩一直不是很优秀，尤其是口语表达能力更为极差，针对我班学生的具体情况，按照我校创建“书香校园”要求。我在教学的中开展既能激发学生兴趣，又有意义的课堂教学活动形式——课前三分钟演讲，我认为，它一定能有效提高学生的听说能力。
起初，我采用自愿报名的方式，结果参加的人数廖廖无几。我要求学生在演讲之前，先写出演讲稿，借此帮助学生进一步提高英语的写作能力。学生演讲完之后，我让学生再设计两三个问
题，这样不仅能使学生的注意力集中，还能提高学生的听力能力。
其次教师让一位学生上台演讲三分钟，演讲的内容可以是话题报告，也可以是看图说话。如教学初三英语Unit 3 Lesson 10之前，教师设计一个话题报告，如：How to make our school more beautiful,要求学生课前准备。由于此话题有一定的难度，因此教师一定要做好充分的准备，安排成绩较好的学生。对于程度中等的学生，可以安排看图说话（同一课内容），教师可向学生展示三幅画：第一幅，重点体现过去脏乱的购物中心；第二幅，学生们在清扫购物中心；第三幅，重点体现清扫后的购物中心的状况。对于成绩滞后的学生可以降低难度，根据前一课的内容，简短地说一两句话，教师从学生的演讲中适时地导入新课。
经过几天的实施，学生孙雪艳又向我提出了宝贵的意见，她说，演讲完后提出的问题如果演讲之前写在黑板上的话，学生听得效果会更好，我又经过几天的试验，结果，我发现这种方法确实很好，百分之八十的同学都能够回答出问题。看来，学生的潜力是无穷的，就看老师怎么激发了，如果方法对头，真的会收到事半功倍的功效，我一定要坚持下去。
篇3：再谈课前三分钟英语演讲
笔者在杭州城郊结合区域的初中工作, 发现了如下现象:本区域的初一新生入学时, 大多数同学不愿意参加英语口头表达活动, 或口头表达含混, 英语发音不清等。笔者认为原因可能是多方面的, 比如:
1. 地理位置。
杭州吸引了大量外省、市的人就业, 他们的孩子大多跟随父母迁至杭城就读。很多这样的新杭州人居住在杭城的城郊结合区域, 我校就在这样的区域范围内。校内学生来自本市、外市本省、外省各个不同的小学。对于这些学生而言, 小学里所接受的外语学习有非常大的差异, 少部分同学的口语已经非常出色, 大多数学生从未接受过外语启蒙教育。
2. 学生知识面方面的差异。
学生知识面方面的差异很大。部分学生阅读量少, 知识储备不足, 口头表达的话题容量等都欠丰富。
3. 家庭观念有差异。
部分家长较重视英语的口语表达, 让孩子较早地开始这方面的学习。有些家长无此意识。
4. 初中学生处在人生中最特殊的青春期。
初中学生对人际交流的看法观点都处于变化剧烈、不稳定的时期, 上课发言的频率比小学时有所下降。英语口头表达方面有困难是情理之中的事。
因此笔者更加重视学生的英语口语训练, 坚持开展课前三分钟英语演讲活动, 力求让学生走出羞于开口、不敢说英语的困境。同时, 让学生明确英语口语能力的提高将有助于英语听力、阅读、写作、翻译等各方面能力的增强;演讲的技能有助于综合素质的整体提升;演讲者与听众的有效互动增强了同学间的情感交流;演讲者能从大家的支持中汲取成长的力量, 听众能从倾听中理解尊重的内涵, 从记载笔记与提出见解的过程中生成智慧。
二、设定课前三分钟英语演讲活动的基本原则
1. 据学生各成长阶段的英语水平强弱, 遵循由易至难的原则。
初中学生在初一、初二、初三学年三个大的时段中, 英语水平逐年变化, 由弱变强, 因此笔者在设定课前三分钟英语演讲活动时一直遵循由易至难的原则。
初一演讲活动开始, 只要求学生们能够讲述贴近学习、生活的小话题;初二时随着学生自身英语功底变强, 英语演讲开始有立意、可听性等要求;初三演讲的要求有:演讲文章本身需优美、有寓意, 演讲者要注重语音语调及情感需充分体现等。
2. 尊重学生不同个体间的英语基础差异, 遵循求同存异的原则。
每位学生都是独立的个体, 都有各自的特殊性, 英语水平的基础不可避免地存在着差异。笔者一贯坚持求同存异的原则:求同——鼓励登台者追求自信的锻炼, 勇于展现自我, 大家相互学习;存异——尊重差异, 允许展示水平有强有弱。
虽然有些学生的准备不够充分, 自信心也有些不足, 但在笔者和同学的鼓励下他们都能勇敢地上台展示自己。无论演讲水平如何, 所有学生都有了一个展现自我的机会。
3. 考虑演讲者与学生观众双方的权责, 遵循讲、听结合的原则。
演讲对于学生而言, 即是演讲者展现自我的方式, 也是演讲者和学生观众交流互动的平台。
对于演讲者, 认真准备、充分表现是关键, 这是对他人与自己负责。而观众必须做到安静与认真, 力图明白演讲者的中心用意, 学习他人的优点, 体现出对他人劳动成果的尊重和认可。演讲者能充分感受到观众的热情与鼓励, 从而提升自信心, 更杰出地完成演讲任务。
三、开展课前三分钟英语演讲活动的具体步骤
1. 教师合理引导, 设定演讲范围, 明确演讲要求。
在组织学生进行英语演讲活动之前, 笔者抽出专门的一节课进行辅导解析, 对活动的意义做了认真的分析, 充分调动学生的积极性。
大家开始建立一个整体参与的概念。笔者让学生清楚地明白, 在课前三分钟进行的英语演讲, 演讲顺序与学号及成绩等无关, 由抽签决定前后, 内容需适合大多数同学听, 请提前积极准备, 重视这个自我展示的舞台。别的学生在聆听的同时也要学会汲取优秀的词汇、篇章构局、创意及调动全场氛围的方法。
2. 演讲学生积极准备演讲, 充分展现自我。
演讲顺序确定后, 作为演讲者开始进行筹备工作。首先需要确定主题——文章的灵魂和中心。笔者要求其选择具有时效性或有寓意的话题, 引起同学的兴趣。可通过书籍、网络的查询, 借鉴、欣赏他人所创的美文。然后从自己的角度出发, 重新创作, 最初的文章成形, 请笔者把关。文章完成后, 最好制作相应的课件, 辅助演讲。最终在台前, 学生能全文脱稿, 并能充分运用面部表情和眼神等演讲技巧, 进行演讲。
3. 学生观众认真参与, 汲取精神食粮。
演讲时, 笔者要求学生专心投入地聆听, 跟着演讲者的思路一步步走, 准确而快速地捕捉到演讲的主要内容和主要信息, 充分体会演讲者的感情变化, 从而学习他人优点, 弥补自己的不足。学生在此过程中, 不应嘲笑一些突发问题, 如忘词等, 应带着积极的观点给予正确的评价。对于演讲者所提到的好词好句, 要求学生都能做到及时记录并消化巩固, 丰富自己的词汇量。大部分同学还踊跃举手回答问题, 使自己成为一个优秀的听众, 又努力成为一位优秀的演讲者。同学们都能够在这项活动中畅游英语世界, 感受英语的奇妙魔力。
4. 教师当场点评, 及时跟进反馈。
点评要及时。笔者在每一次演讲活动结束后都紧跟着完成点评, 虽然点评的语句不多, 但是实践证明这是必不可少的一环。可点评的点很多, 如演讲技巧、文章的立意、最出众的地方、尚欠缺的地方等等。
这种当场有时效性的点评, 演讲学生非常看重, 听众学生也听得非常认真, 这是一个引导的契机, 对每位学生的培养所起的作用都很大。
四、开展课前三分钟英语演讲活动的有效方法
要有效地开展课前三分钟英语演讲活动, 学生的英语基础功底要扎实, 要善于培养学生的演讲技巧, 笔者是这样做的:
1. 注重学生写作练习, 积累优秀的英语作文。
笔者很注重写作, 鼓励学生写得有自己的思想, 有创意。
在每次作文写完后, 笔者都精挑出几篇较好的文章为全班诵读, 并让听的学生注意品味, 积累其他学生所写的精彩之处;对于学生自己觉得满意的随笔, 也可交由老师审稿修改, 编辑成电子文档后在班级博客上供全班同学共同浏览, 建立班级作文库。
这些优美文章的积累为课前三分钟英语演讲活动的开展提供了充实的文本素材。因为有了写作的坚实基础, 学生在英语演讲时口头表达才能够更加流畅。这样做有效地帮助学生增强了信心, 缓解了由于登台紧张而引起的窘迫感, 有助于他们发挥学习的主动性。
这些训练也出了成效。如初三学年笔者辅导的两位同学所写的文章获集团写作大赛的一等奖, 其中李柏涵同学是集团英语演讲比赛一等奖的得主。
2. 注重学生演讲技巧, 培养良好的英语口语。
虽然每个学生的英语水平不一样, 但经过训练, 大部分学生都能掌握演讲的技巧。
(1) 要训练他们的英语发音, 着重引导学生落实音标学习。
(2) 要训练他们的语调。上课完成书上的听力练习后, 尽量抽时间让学生再听几遍录音, 并且要求他们跟着录音, 模仿语音、语调朗读, 也可利用课外资料模仿。如:问句的最后几个单词音调上扬, 用重音突出重点词语等。诸如此类的语调特点, 经过长时间的练习都可以掌握。
(3) 锻炼他们的自信心, 让学生增加一些实战经验。
(4) 注重训练学生演讲时的面部表情与肢体语言等。
(5) 鼓励学生多参与双人或多人的英语口语训练, 培养学生良好的英语口语。
3. 注重学生阅读广度, 养成敏捷的英语思维。
演讲作为一个展示学生能力的平台, 不仅仅需要准确的英语发音及适当的肢体动作, 也需要深厚的英语语言功底, 关键在于平时语言的积累与运用。阅读是一个吸收新知识最快的方法。笔者坚持鼓励学生拓展阅读广度, 养成敏捷的英语思维。如:从成功人士的奋斗故事中受到熏陶并形成积极的处事态度和正确的价值观;从重大历史事件的描述中, 了解风俗、人情、自然风光, 也了解过去, 更珍惜现在, 努力学习;从时事新闻中了解世界各地的新动向, 做一个与时俱进的人等。英语世界语言的特征极大地帮助学生拓展了阅读的面与广度, 同时也丰富了学生演讲时的内涵。
4. 注重听讲文明礼仪, 形成尊重他人的习惯。
通过长时间的认真听讲, 在笔者的引导下, 学生都逐渐养成了良好的倾听习惯。若有不同见解, 不会再像以前一样直接打断他人的讲话, 而是耐心地听他人讲完后, 再有条理地、清晰地表达自己的意见和看法, 这使交流探究与合作学习更好地进行;尊重他人劳动成果, 给予肯定与评价;锻炼了他们的耐心, 使他们在活动中, 可以做到耐心、静心、认真地听讲;在课堂上不浮躁, 安静, 提高了听课效率。这些都是良好的倾听习惯, 会使他们一辈子受益, 在将来的工作中, 必定会体现他们的修养, 也让他们更顺利、更杰出地完成每一件事!
5. 注重学生成功体验, 用好校内外展示平台 (英语节、家校通、各项竞赛等) 。
为了让学生拥有更多的成功体验, 笔者也付出了很大的努力。
利用家校通的平台, 将孩子英语学习的点点滴滴汇报给家长:将在课上演讲后的点评语句写成短信, 将孩子每日在演讲中的成长及时汇报给家长。只要学生肯花时间, 演讲者的家长当天都会有一份相应的短信表扬, 这样便于家长和孩子进行沟通。
五、开展课前三分钟英语演讲实践后的反思
通过初一到初三的课前三分钟英语演讲活动, 学生在不断成长, 老师则是一路伴随他们成长, 见证了他们的蜕变。事实证明, 课前三分钟英语演讲活动实践下来, 学生在英语听、说、读、写方面都得到锻炼:专注听, 大量读, 持续写, 敢于说。
不断追求, 不断突破, 不断超越!这个舞台见证了学生的成长, 学生从中收获的喜悦与成就感是他们学习过程中的美好体验。这是他们人生中一笔宝贵的财富, 为他们未来的发展打下了坚实的基础!
摘要：在城郊结合区域初中的英语教学中, 笔者长期坚持开展课前三分钟英语演讲活动, 有意识地结合学生听、说、读、写能力的训练。实践证明, 通过演讲活动, 学生的英语阅读能力、英语写作能力、英语口语表达能力、善于倾听等人际交往能力和英语演讲技巧得到了大幅提高。
