一、问题与成因

1. 教材因素。

巢湖市采用的是人教版新目标英语, “采用任务型语言教学模式, 融汇话题, 交际功能, 语言结构为一体, 形成一套循序渐进的生活化学习程序。”教材内容突出交际性, 但对写作关注不够, 学生基本上靠对范文的模仿来写作。相比而言, 另一套很受欢迎的英语教材———《新概念英语》就有一套完整的写作训练体系, 从词语的运用, 到连句成段, 再到结段成篇, 循序渐进, 便于学生掌握。同时, 新目标英语教材淡化语法讲解, 也影响学生语言表达的准确性。

2. 教师因素。

一是部分教师对任务型教学理解不够, 执行不力, 肤浅地认为任务型教学就是“组织学生对话”, 能力培养没落到实处, 教学效率不高。二是教师对学生的写作指导不够。据一项调查发现, 每单元中都系统安排学生写作训练的教师为31%;对学生英语习作坚持每周批改的教师为40.7%, 且写作训练的方法大都是机械模仿。对英语写作评价的方式单一, 注重终结性评价, 缺少互动, 学生很难从评价中获得启发, 不利于激发学生写作兴趣和提高写作能力。

(1) 注重写前指导, 在内容和形式两方面做充分的准备。 (1) 关于内容方面, 学者王立非指出, 我国英语写作教学的突出问题是学生写作的内容匮乏。这就要求教师在设计写作任务时, 要关注那些与现实生活紧密相关的话题, 这样能激发学生写作冲动, 使学生愿写, 能写;其次, 写作的内容要基于教材, 做到“所写即所学”。如果写作的内容与所学的知识相甚远, 会极大地挫伤学生的写作积极性。最后, 提供相关的阅读材料或有助于表达思想的外语词汇和短语, 减低写作的难度;同时鼓励学生自己收集材料, 借鉴某些有用的单词短语和句型。 (2) 关于语言形式。新课改以来, 英语教学界一直强调要让学生把注意力集中在表达意义上, 而不是操练语言形式。但通过对中国学生英语习作的分析发现, 二语写作的最大困难是缺少表达思想的语言形式。所以专家也指出, 任务型教学是引导学习者在达到交际目的的基础上把注意力放在语言形式上, 实现教学的中心目标———改善目标语的运用能力, 而不仅仅是完成任务。任务型教学的倡导者Nunan也强调, 在完成任务的过程中, 学习者也可以关注语言形式。

(2) 抓好写中指导。写中指导的关键是帮助学生在写作中对内容和语言的选择做出正确的决定。学生在写作中常遇到这样一些困难, 比如词汇问题、语法问题、格式问题、表达习惯问题等。这些困难虽然可以通过不断的学习去克服, 但是会给学生的写作形成极大地障碍, 尤其是初学写作的学生, 他们甚至会主动放弃写作。这时, 及时帮助可使学生避免一些常见的错误, 了解学生的思维过程, 顾及其情感体验, 提高其写作的主动性。根据因材施教的原则, 对有不同困难的同学给予不同的帮助, 比如有的同学写作上不下功夫, 不善钻研, 就要磨炼他们的意志;对英语基本功差的同学则要加强他们对写作的认识, 从语言基本功训练入手, 培养其写作兴趣和自信心。

2. 阅读写作整体教学, 促进读写迁移。

三、注意的问题

4. 渐进性原则。

一、提炼字词句
